Everything Is A Shoe Sole

So, what thing is under your feet? Either it's the ground on which you are standing, because you are barefoot, or it's the bottom of your shoe or sandal - the sole.
Well, this is an interesting text:
"And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all." (Eph. 1:22-23 ESV)
This is a technically challenging text, but a powerful one for the follower of Jesus.
Technically, there are lots of male pronouns (he, him, his) and who each of those words is pointing to is not explicit. But given the context of the passage, it is not really difficult at all.
He (God) put all things under his (Jesus’) feet and (God) gave him (Jesus) as head over all things to the church.
This idea that within the Trinity, God the Father has given God the Word – incarnate as Jesus – authority over all of God’s people presents no difficulty. That the church is his (Jesus’) body is taught elsewhere, and that the church is a ‘fullness’ of him (Jesus) is fully consistent with other scripture.

This idea that Jesus is also to be reigning king over all the created order is also taught in scripture. God put all things under Jesus' feet - all the created order is the soles of Jesus' sandals.
Beyond the pronouns, we again see that Jesus wasn’t merely a great – even The Greatest – prophet, moral teacher, one who lived out a full humanity, and/or hero. While all those are true, they are not enough. God has made Jesus into a person (God himself!) who is to be worshipped; who is King; and who will be Annointed Judge and executor of justice.
